Description
This bridge over the Hoogly River, connecting Howrah Station with Kolkata City, was built by the British when they were ruling India. It has become an iconic landmark for West Bengal. The local calls it 'Howrah Bridge' but the government has renamed it 'Rabindra Setu' in honor of Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore. The Hoogly river is also locally known as Ganga though it is just a branch of the might Ganga.
The shot was taken from a boat and cropped at 3:1 to remove the negative space.
